Sustainability & CSR
The view from the firm: Our firmwide Sustainability Committee continues to work with the local office committees to implement policies and best practices on ways we can reduce the use of paper and plastics across the firm. We created a newsletter and intranet app where we promote information on local recycling policies in cities where our offices are located. We worked with Greenplaces to determine our carbon footprint and will use those metrics to set new goals on ways we can lower our footprint. We continue to send out an annual sustainability survey to all of our building landlords to determine the sustainable practices taking place in the buildings we occupy. We are an active member of Vorgate LLC, a sustainability and data collection consulting firm to the legal community, and participate in their American Legal Industry Sustainability Standard (ALISS) survey, an online self-assessment that allows firms to objectively track and measure their sustainability efforts.
